Built by 1915, the building first housed the Pacific Film Laboratory. In September 1916, the building was destroyed by fire. The Lincoln Motion Picture Company was there from 1916 to 1921. Hal Roach's Rolin occupied the building around 1917. Ben Wilson Productions was there from 1921 to 1924. National Bulls Eye followed. The Berwilla Studios were there from 1920 to 1924, Cal-Art Studio (1928-1929), Continental Productions in 1930, Richard Thomas Studio circa 1927-1928, Larry Darmour from 1927 to 1939. After the Second World War, Key West and Family Films moved in.

The Larry Darmour Studio was where Mickey Rooney made his "Mickey McGuire" series of shorts.
